Warning: This post contains potential spoilers for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday.
New plot details and major spoilers for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday have leaked online. In the film, Robert Downey Jr.’s Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom is not a Tony Stark variant. He wears his mask for most of the movie and simply happens to have Tony’s face.
On X, scooper MAJESTIC shared a list of alleged plot leaks for Avengers: Doomsday:
- Boris (a Latverian character) is part of the movie and has an important role.
- Sam’s Avengers and the New Avengers rush toward the F4 ship at the same time, but Sam’s team arrives first. Thor, who was sent by Love on his journey, is one of the first to interact with the F4, reportedly asking, “Who the hell are you guys’ parallel?”
- Doom has several followers (around four), including three witches who can shapeshift (possibly Black Swans). One wears a purple cloak with a gold mask, another an orange cloak with a gold mask, and the third a classic green cloak (the purple one could be Clea, and the green one Sylvie).
- Hayley Atwell has multiple roles and was reportedly seen in Doom’s witch costume (context unclear, possibly a witch disguised as her).
- Loki does not form a team (no TVA team).

- A Franklin–Doom conversation continues from the F4 post-credits scene (PCS).
- In the F4 PCS, Sue and Franklin are at home while the rest are at a baseball game.
- Gambit and Yelena interact in multiple scenes.
- There are no Doom variants, but there are Doombots.
- Doom wears multiple masks throughout the movie.
- Steve wields Mjolnir (without his shield) and is heavily featured throughout the film.
- Doom is on the ship with the F4 from the Thunderbolts post-credits scene (it is unclear if anyone else is there).
- Sentry wears the same suit from Thunderbolts.
- Ant-Man wears his Endgame suit.
- More than one Dora Milaje appears in the movie (as seen in the fourth teaser).
- Doom has flashback scenes.
- Steve reunites with Bucky, Sam, and Scott Lang.
- The X-Men are likely from the same universe as Gambit (not necessarily the Fox universe).
- Characters constantly travel between worlds, unknowingly accelerating the incursion between the three worlds.
- Steve gets Mjolnir back from Thor and does not initially have it with him.
- Doom’s female followers use magic and are not random henchmen.
- Pepper Potts appears in the movie.
- The X-Mansion is destroyed.
- As of now, the only X-Men members in the film are those already confirmed. Storm, Rogue, and Jean are reportedly not in the movie.
- Charles and Erik play chess.
- The Reed and Doom rivalry begins in this movie.

- Based on the first teaser, Steve has a son (possibly named James).
- Doom is initially unaware of who caused his suffering but later discovers the truth and seeks revenge.
- Sentry and Gambit share scenes together.
- Sue and Namor share scenes.
- Sam already has his Avengers team formed at the start of the movie.
- Steve uses a cracked Mjolnir (possibly the one from Thor: Love and Thunder).
- Walker gets his “taco shield” fixed by the Thing.
- Red Guardian gets his own shield (similar to the one from Black Widow).
- Steve’s son is aged up (the teaser may feature a flashback). Steve is bearded and wears regular clothes.
- Doom keeps his mask on for about 90% of the movie, putting it on quickly after his interaction with Franklin in the F4 PCS.
- Gambit wears an all-black suit and appears in it at the Baxter Building.
- Sue also wears a black suit (likely not Malice) and is seen wearing it around Shuri.
- Doom has three different suits in the movie.
- Doom does not share scenes with Kate, Kamala (who wears her suit), or Cassie. The three have small roles and share a scene in an apartment.
- Steve does not trust Doom from the start, which leads to clashes with others.
- Doom discovers the “root of his suffering” later in the film.

- In the Thor teaser, about three other characters are in the forest with Thor but were edited out.
- In the Wakanda teaser, the Thing is in Earth-616, while Reed is in the X-Men universe.
- Yelena appears in AvX (but not Hugh).
- Tobey and Hugh fight in Act 1, which may set something up later.
- Deadpool sits on Reed’s face (possibly flattening it).
- Doom does not change himself to look like Tony and is originally from the Fantastic Four’s world.
- Ava (Ghost) travels to Earth-828.
- Wolverine may not appear in AvX, but Deadpool does.
- Doom is from Earth-828 and has lost his family.
- Shuri and Bucky share scenes together.
- Team 1 goes to Wakanda to meet the Wakandans, then travels to the Talokanil. Events unfold, and Shuri eventually joins Team 1.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
