Warning: This article contains rumors and potential spoilers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Sony Pictures has recently tested multiple versions of the new trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day. As per reports, they tested three different versions of the trailer, each with different soundtracks.
On X, scooper MAJESTIC shared that one of the trailer details has leaked online, and the description of the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer is shared below.
In the leaked footage, we see Tom Holland’s Peter Parker undergoing a transformation that seems to go beyond anything we’ve seen before. The story revolves around his powers changing from within.

Peter starts making organic webbing from his body. He has never done this before in the Marvel movies. This shows that his body is mutating. His spider-sense becomes unstable. He hears too much, senses dangers that are not real, and feels overwhelmed. In some scenes, he even seems to pass out and cannot control what is happening to him.
Trying to find answers, Peter studies spiders and their life cycles. He thinks he might be going through a new stage of evolution. We see him surrounded by scientific notes, comparing his DNA to spider DNA.
The most powerful moment in the trailer shows Peter waking up inside a cocoon made from his own webbing, like he has transformed into something new. The scene feels dark and almost like a horror movie. It is similar to the comic story “The Other,” where Spider-Man is reborn after a major transformation.
Peter also asks Mark Ruffalo‘s Bruce Banner for help. Banner thinks the problem may be caused by genetic changes or instability.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
