Warning: This post contains potential spoilers for Avengers: Doomsday.
Marvel Studios has scrapped the original post-credits scene featuring Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. This would have hinted at how the story connects to Avengers: Doomsday. It’s reported that Steve, Peggy Carter, and their child, James Rogers, now reside on Earth-828.
On X, scooper Cryptic4KQual shared details about The Fantastic Four: First Steps deleted post-credits scene: “F4 was supposed to have another PCS featuring Steve. Idk if it was shot or not though. It wouldn’t have been explained or anything. We’d just catch up and have it explained in Doomsday. May be a little confusing rn but it’ll make sense later.”

The original post-credits scene for First Steps, which was removed, reportedly showed the Fantastic Four visiting Steve at his cabin on their Earth and asking him for help with a multiversal problem — the Incursions. That scene now appears to have been moved to Avengers: Doomsday.
How Did Steve Rogers and His Family End Up in the Fantastic Four Universe?
Following Endgame, Steve is living a quiet life with Peggy and their son when Loki arrives. Now in control of the timelines, Loki explains that the TVA sees Steve’s presence as a mistake and intends to erase the timeline. Loki gives Steve a choice — relocate to a different universe where he and his family can live without being hunted. They are sent to Earth-828, the Fantastic Four’s world.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
