Marvel Studios has big plans for Sadie Sink‘s character in the MCU. She is reportedly playing one of the X-Men’s most famous mutant characters.
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, Sink has reportedly signed a deal with Marvel for five movies, which includes options for TV shows. Following her appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Sink is also expected to appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, with filming scheduled to begin in August 2026.
The scooper also reported that Sink is set to be the main character of the MCU’s Mutant Saga. Marvel is already developing an X-Men reboot movie, directed by Jake Schreier.

Sink is reportedly playing the role of Jean Grey. We previously reported that her X-Men character will have a “new visual flair” to her powers in the MCU, with VFX inspired by X-Men ’97.
In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Sadie Sink’s Jean Grey is kidnapped by the Department of Damage Control (DODC). Tramell Tillman, who plays William Metzger (the head of Damage Control), is shown chasing her, as she has been under DODC surveillance for a long time.
After Avengers: Secret Wars, the MCU will reportedly undergo a “soft reboot,” with multiple universes merging into a single Earth-616. Characters like Spider-Man, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four were “always there,” but existed in different realities until Secret Wars unifies them.
As a result, the Multiverse Saga is expected to end in 2027, with the Mutant Saga likely beginning in 2028.
