A new trailer for Marvel Animation’s X-Men ’97 Season 2 has leaked online.
The trailer was screened during Comic Con Revolution, which was held May 16–17 at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, California. The footage has now leaked online, and you can see the trailer below, shared by X user @NovaSilence_. The trailer places a major focus on Apocalypse, featuring close-up shots of his glowing red eyes alongside mysterious futuristic and ancient Egyptian-inspired cityscapes filled with pyramids and advanced technology. Watch it below.
The trailer opens with a group of young mutants — including Quentin Quire / Kid Omega, recognizable by his pink and purple hair — running through a ruined and overgrown X-Mansion at night. Brief glimpses also appear to show characters such as Wing, Synch, Chamber, and Monet.
One character says, “He’s over there! What did I tell you? The X-Men are never coming back. We need to split up. Regroup somewhere safe.”
Another responds, “Safe? This was the safe place for kids like us.”
The trailer sets up a world where the X-Men have vanished, forcing a new generation of mutants to step up.

Quick shots then show several X-Men members falling or being scattered through time portals. Bishop explains, “Something or someone took the X-Men from time… and scattered them across the past and the future.”
Back in the 1990s timeline, Bishop adds, “We gotta get the X-Men back to the ’90s.”
A tagline then flashes on screen: “This summer… the ’90s are the past, are the present, are the future.”
The trailer also features a big return moment for Wolverine, who declares, “I’m back!” while extending his claws and challenging an enemy. One scene appears to show Wolverine allied with Morph, Sabretooth, and Lady Deathstrike.
The voice cast of X-Men ’97 includes Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, JP Karliak as Morph, Lenore Zann as Rogue, George Buza as Beast, AJ LoCascio as Gambit, Holly Chou as Jubilee, Isaac Robinson-Smith as Bishop, Matthew Waterson as Magneto, and Adrian Hough as Nightcrawler.
X-Men ’97 Season 2 is reportedly expected to premiere between July and early August, though Disney+ could move the release date earlier.
