The first official trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is expected to be released at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 (SDCC), where Marvel Studios’ Hall H panel will take place on July 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. PT. Although the trailer is reportedly complete and dubbing has already begun, its description has now leaked online.
According to the leaked trailer description, Marvel is reportedly taking a different approach to Doctor Doom by focusing on his origin story before fully establishing him as the film’s main villain.
Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Description
On Reddit, the leaked details of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer have been revealed. Here are the reported details:
The trailer opens with a shot of Robert Downey Jr.‘s Victor von Doom, a.k.a. Doctor Doom, sitting on his throne in Latveria.
Doom walks through his castle, where a large painting of Valeria and their son is shown.
Thor arrives with the Fantastic Four to meet the New Avengers. One shot shows them flying into the Avengers Tower in their ship as the teams are introduced.
Steve Rogers meets Thor and proves his identity by summoning Mjolnir after Thor initially doesn’t believe it’s him. Thor responds, “It can’t be.”
Steve tells Yelena that Natasha was family to him, and therefore Yelena is family too.
Yelena battles Mystique, and Mystique’s transformation is shown.
A scene takes place inside the Baxter Building, featuring the X-Men.
Reed Richards is shown communicating with Doctor Doom. Reed angrily shouts, “Answer me!”
Loki appears wearing his TVA suit inside Steve’s house from the first teaser.
The trailer’s biggest action sequence features Thor battling Doctor Doom, with Thor throwing Stormbreaker at Doom, who effortlessly stops it with a wave of his hand.
The trailer ends with a shot of Doctor Doom controlling the Sentinels.
Doom’s final line is: “One day you will forgive me.”
Here’s the new synopsis for Avengers: Doomsday:
“Earth’s Mightiest Heroes—Steve Rogers, Shuri, Thor, Loki, Ant-Man, Captain America, Falcon, Shang-Chi, Bucky Barnes, Yelena Belova, and Red Guardian—along with the Avengers, will return as distinct universes (Earth-616, Earth-828, and Earth-10005) are set on a deadly collision course, facing an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.”
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
