Warning: This post contains spoilers for Avengers: Doomsday.
It’s a big day for Marvel fans. Marvel has finally revealed the official look at Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom in the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. Doom is shown as a powerful villain in the trailer, effortlessly stopping Stormbreaker with just two fingers. The trailer is the same as the one shown at CinemaCon, with the only new addition being Loki’s appearance.
The trailer features several major reveals, returning heroes, and plenty of Easter eggs. Let’s break down everything shown in the footage.
Doctor Doom Easily Stops Thor’s Stormbreaker
Thor once again plays a major role in the trailer. He warns the heroes that Doom is their greatest threat, saying, “We’re going to need a miracle.” He also inspires the team with the line, “If you return, you will return as brothers and sisters.”
Later, Thor battles Doctor Doom, but Doom shocks everyone by catching Stormbreaker with one hand, showing his incredible strength.

The rune on Doctor Doom’s glove appears to be the source of the magic that allows him to stop Stormbreaker.
The First Look at the X-Men in the MCU Is Finally Here

One of the biggest highlights of the trailer is the official debut of the X-Men in the MCU. Patrick Stewart returns as Professor X, warning the heroes, “Something’s coming, something we may not be able to deter.”

The trailer also gives fans a first look at Ian McKellen’s Magneto and James Marsden’s Cyclops using his optic blast. Another exciting scene shows Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi fighting Channing Tatum’s Gambit. We also see Rebecca Romijn’s Mystique transform into Yelena, leading to a fun Yelena vs. Yelena fight.
The New Avengers, Fantastic Four, and Black Panther Unite

Many MCU heroes appear throughout the trailer. Sam Wilson leads the New Avengers inside the new Avengers Tower, joined by Yelena, Bucky Barnes, Joaquín Torres, and Ant-Man under a new Avengers logo.
The Fantastic Four also appear, including a fun first meeting between Ben Grimm’s Thing and Wakanda’s M’Baku. Meanwhile, Shuri returns as Black Panther to face Namor and his Talokan army. The trailer also includes a brief look at Loki.
The Incursion will involve three universes, and the heroes will unite to save the planet. The trailer shows these worlds colliding as they race against the clock to stop the disaster. See it below.

Steve Rogers Proves He’s Still Worthy of Mjolnir

The trailer ends with the surprise return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers. He appears with long hair and a beard, just like he did in Avengers: Infinity War.
Steve reunites with Thor and lifts Mjolnir once again, showing that he is still worthy.
