‘Coyote vs. Acme’ Finds Its Way to Digital Platforms

Coyote vs. Acme is finally heading to digital platforms following its theatrical run, where it made $100 million on a $70 million budget.

The film will be available on VOD platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Vudu, and Google Play Movies starting September 29, 2026.

Coyote vs. Acme has received high praise from audiences, earning a 96% critics’ score and a 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, a 7.5/10 rating on IMDb, and an A CinemaScore.

Directed by Dave Green and written by Samy Burch, Coyote v. Acme is loosely based on Ian Frazier’s 1990 New Yorker article of the same name. The film follows Wile E. Coyote as he takes Acme Corporation to court after its faulty products repeatedly leave him injured.

In Coyote v. Acme, Wile E. Coyote (John Cena) decides to sue the Acme Corporation after being repeatedly injured by its products. He is represented by a young lawyer named Judy Hicks (Lana Condor), who is determined to prove that Acme is liable for Coyote’s injuries. The case goes to trial, and Coyote’s team must prove that Acme knew its products were defective and continued to sell them anyway. If Coyote wins the case, it could set a precedent for other product liability cases and mean big trouble for Acme.

The cast includes Will Forte, Lana Condor, John Cena, Tone Bell, Martha Kelly, Luis Guzmán, P. J. Byrne, John Early, Nancy Linehan Charles, Kenneth Choi, and Ernie Vigil. The voice cast includes Eric Bauza as Bugs Bunny, Charlie Dog, Daffy Duck, Dr. Peter Lorre, and Foghorn Leghorn.
