The X-Men universe (Earth-10005) in Avengers: Doomsday has something important that Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom is looking for.
According to a new leak, Doom’s mission involving the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, and his manipulation of them into traveling to the X-Men universe, is not to warn them about the incursions. Instead, Doom has planned to destroy the X-Men universe.
Doctor Doom is after something hidden within the X-Men’s universe, and whatever it is, he’s willing to destroy an entire world to get it. It is rumored that Doom plants a bomb directly inside the X-Mansion, setting off a catastrophic event that ultimately leads to the destruction of the entire planet.
The exact object he’s searching for is still unknown, but it appears to be some kind of key or crucial piece that Doom needs for his larger plan.
Recently, Iron Studios revealed two spoiler-filled items from Avengers: Doomsday: Doctor Doom’s magical book, the “Book of God,” and another item that appears to be a key. This could be the object that Doom wants from the X-Men universe. See the images below.
The X-Men in Avengers: Doomsday have survived countless incursions, each one nearly wiping out their universe. They’re exhausted, broken, and have sacrificed everything. Every incursion forces them to send their members to another Earth to battle its defenders and erase that universe from existence before it destroys theirs.
