The VOD and DVD release date for Alien: Romulus has been revealed. The film will be available to buy or rent on digital streaming platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies & TV starting on October 15, 2024.

Alien: Romulus will be available on DVD, 4K UHD, and Blu-ray starting December 3, 2024. You can pre-order it now on Amazon. The release will contain bonus features, including extensive behind-the-scenes content, extra scenes, and a new conversation with Ridley Scott and Fede Álvarez.

Fede Álvarez (“Evil Dead,” “Don’t Breathe”) directs from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (“Don’t Breathe 2”) based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett.

The film stars Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla), David Jonsson (Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), Isabela Merced (The Last of Us), Spike Fearn (Aftersun), and Aileen Wu.

Produced by Ridley Scott (Napoleon), who directed the original Alien and produced and directed the series’ entries Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, along with Michael Pruss (Boston Strangler) and Walter Hill (Alien). Executive producers include Alvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon (Charlie’s Angels), Brent O’Connor (Bullet Train), and Tom Moran (Unstoppable).

Alien: Romulus was theatrically released in the United States by 20th Century Studios on August 16, 2024. The film has grossed $342 million worldwide.
