Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is set to begin reshoots next month with actors who were unable to film last year.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, the reshoots for Avengers: Doomsday will reportedly add mostly character-focused scenes, including those featuring Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter, and more.
The scooper also reported that Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom has a coven of masked witches under his rule. Also, Avengers: Secret Wars will reportedly place main focus on characters who were absent from or had smaller roles in Doomsday.

Avengers: Doomsday will hit theaters on December 18, 2026, but it will not be released in IMAX. Instead, the studio plans to push other premium formats, including Dolby, D-Box, and 4DX, as well as AMC’s new “XL” format designed for larger, expanded screens.
Disney reportedly believes Avengers: Doomsday can still gross over $1 billion at the box office without an IMAX release.
