Following the success of 2024’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, a third film in the Beetlejuice franchise is happening.
According to Deadline reports, Beetlejuice 3 is in early development at Warner Bros. Pictures, as confirmed by Mike De Luca, Co-Chairperson and CEO of Warner Bros. Film Group.
De Luca said, “Imminently. The ink might not be dry on the deals yet, but imminently.”

In an interview with Deadline, De Luca revealed a slate of upcoming Warner Bros. projects: Drew Goddard’s Matrix film is moving forward, Goonies and Gremlins movies are in development, a sequel to the Minecraft movie is in early stages, Beetlejuice 3 is underway, a remake of The Bodyguard is happening, and the script for The Batman Part II is still being written.

Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.
The movie starred Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara, who returned to their original roles. New cast members included Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Jenna Ortega, and Willem Dafoe.
