Craig Mazin has confirmed that ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 will be divided into two seasons. He said, “The show won’t conclude with Season 2 unless viewers don’t watch it and it gets canceled.”
Based on the 2013 video game of the same name, developed by Naughty Dog, the series follows Joel (Pascal), a smuggler tasked with escorting Ellie (Ramsey), a teenage girl, across the post-apocalyptic United States, and Joel’s younger brother and former militiaman, Tommy (Gabriel Luna). Along the way, they encounter fellow survivors, cutthroat bandits, and monstrous clickers who have become so infected by the disease that fungi sprout from their bodies. Created and written by Mazin and Druckmann for HBO.
‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 is confirmed to consist of 7 episodes and will premiere on HBO in early 2025.
