Warning: This post contains spoilers for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to begin filming on August 1, 2025, in Glasgow. The set is currently under construction, and a recently leaked image shows a wanted poster—nearly torn—featuring Bruce Banner/Smart Hulk spotted on the set. See the images below.

The already-leaked Brand New Day set images confirm that the film is still set in New York City (despite being filmed in Glasgow) and that it takes place before December 2027. The film will also take place before the events of Avengers: Doomsday.
We reported that in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man will reportedly team up with Jon Bernthal‘s Punisher to take down the Savage Hulk. A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics), the criminal organization last seen in Iron Man 3, will be tampering with Bruce Banner’s mind to turn him into the Savage Hulk. Viper and Silver Samurai are also said to be part of their organization.
Last month, Brett Pawlak, the Director of Photography for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, accidentally leaked the mood board he created for the movie, which featured Spider-Man alongside the Savage Hulk.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the film will be a “multiversal grounded” story featuring multiple villains, including Tarantula, Scorpion, Boomerang, Tombstone, and more.
Here’s the plot synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.
In the film, Holland will be returning as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon also reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink is rumored to play Gwen Stacy, Bernthal as Frank Castle, a.k.a. the Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, and Liza Colón-Zayas has been cast in an undisclosed role. Additionally, Michael Mando is expected to reprise his Spider-Man: Homecoming role as Mac Gargan.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
