According to the film’s official synopsis from A24, When teenage Priscilla Beaulieu meets Elvis Presley at a party, the man who is already a meteoric rock-and-roll superstar becomes someone entirely unexpected in private moments: a thrilling crush, an ally in loneliness, a gentle best friend. Through Priscilla’s eyes, Sofia Coppola tells the unseen side of a great American myth in Elvis and Priscilla’s long courtship and turbulent marriage, from a German army base to his dream-world estate at Graceland, in this deeply felt and ravishingly detailed portrait of love, fantasy, and fame.
Directed by Sofia Coppola. The film is based on the 1985 memoir Elvis and Me by Priscilla Presley and Sandra Harmon. The film also stars Jacob Elordi as Elvis Presley, Dagmara Domińczyk, Raine Monroe Boland and Emily Mitchell as Lisa Marie Presley, Jorja Cadence as Patsy Presley, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll as Alan “Hog Ears” Fortas, and, Luke Humphrey as Terry West.
The film will be distributed in the United States by A24 and in Italy by Vision Distribution. For the rest of the world, distribution will be handled by Stage 6 Films/Sony Pictures Releasing International.
