Recently, a new plot synopsis for Captain America: Brave New World revealed how Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Joaquín Torres (Danny Ramirez) are invited to the White House to meet with President Ross (Harrison Ford) and reconstitute the Avengers Initiative.
What is the Synopsis of Captain America: Brave New World?
In Captain America: Brave New World, after executing a successful mission in Mexico, Sam (Mackie) and his partner Joaquin/Falcon (Ramirez) are invited to the White House to meet with President Ross (Ford). He asks Sam, the new Captain America, to reconstitute the Avengers Initiative. However, they almost immediately square off on opposite sides when an assassination attempt occurs.
During a summit later that night, something activates sleeper-agent programming within some of the guests, including super-soldier Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly), causing them to attack the world leaders. In the aftermath, Sam sets out without Ross’ blessing to solve the conspiracy himself.
In a recent teaser, President Thaddeus Ross declares Adamantium the most versatile metal at the summit. Ross says, ‘When the Celestial Mass emerged, we squabbled over it. What was found inside that island is a discovery of millennia. I present to you Adamantium. We can’t let this get into the wrong hands.’
Directed by Julius Onah from a screenplay by Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton. The film stars Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Danny Ramirez as Joaquín Torres/Falcon, Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns/Leader, Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Ford as President Thaddeus Ross, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph/Sabra, Giancarlo Esposito as Sidewinder, Rosa Salazar, and Xosha Roquemore.
In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Mackie says that the events of Brave New World lead directly into Avengers: Doomsday and teases that Sam will reach his “finest point” and “finest hour” in Doomsday.
Mackie said, “So, by the time you get to Doomsday, you’ll have, Sam at his his finest point and his finest hour coming off of this battle of basically saving the world from Red Hulk.”
The film is produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore under Marvel Studios.
Captain America: Brave New World will have a runtime of 1 hour and 58 minutes and will hit theaters, including IMAX, on February 14, 2025.
