Chiwetel Ejiofor, who previously believed that playing the role of Orwell Taylor in Sony’s Venom: The Last Dance was not right, has been confirmed to portray a different character.
A comic by Sony Pictures Korea and the NYCC panel that took place on October 17, 2024, revealed that Ejiofor is playing Rex Strickland in Venom: The Last Dance. He will be working with Juno Temple‘s character in a conflicting manner to have Venom.
Strickland becomes Tyrannosaurus, a symbiote war veteran, in the Venom universe.
Kelly Marcel, who directed the first film will return to direct from a screenplay she co-wrote with Tom Hardy. It is a sequel to Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The film stars Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom, Temple, Ejiofor, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham.
In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy. Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.
Venom: The Last Dance has been officially rated PG-13 for “intense sequences of violence and action, bloody images, and strong language.”
Venom: The Last Dance will be released in theaters on October 25, 2024, by Sony Pictures Releasing.
