Before appearing in Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday, Chris Evans, who previously played the MCU’s Captain America, will reportedly appear in an undisclosed role in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, Evans is expected to appear in the post-credits sequence of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, in a scene where the Fantastic Four team meets a version of Captain America. The leak came from a recent test screening.

A new trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps is expected to be released next week. Posters for Thunderbolts and The Fantastic Four: First Steps have been spotted at CinemaCon 2025. Marvel Studios’ CinemaCon presentation is scheduled for April 4, and the trailer is expected to drop that day.
In a recent interview with The Direct, actor Paul Walter Hauser said that The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be “the Marvel movie of the year” and “the one to watch.”
He added that “everything [he] witnessed and took part in” made him believe it will be “the Marvel movie of the year” and “the one to watch.”
A new rumor says Evans will play Nomad in Avengers: Doomsday. The Avengers trust him because he looks like Steve Rogers, and he pretends to fight with them. After losing a battle, they are taken as prisoners to Doctor Doom’s castle. Then, “Captain America” is set free, walks toward Doom, and kneels—revealing he is actually Captain Hydra and Doom’s ally. He tricks the Avengers and leads them to Doctor Doom, who laughs at how easily they were fooled because they trusted Steve Rogers.
The film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles.
