Cillian Murphy has been spotted filming for Netflix‘s Peaky Blinders movie, The Immortal Man, in Wales, United Kingdom.
Murphy was seen on a narrowboat wearing his Tommy Shelby outfit, including his famous cap, as filming started on the bridge and nearby waterways. They are also filming scenes in a helicopter for aerial footage. On X, the images were shared, you can see the images below.
According to the BBC, Murphy’s narrowboat was decorated with vintage signs for “W.G.E. Wyrley & Essington,” while another boat featured a sign reading “Thomas Coathupe & Sons Ltd – 1893.”
The film is directed by Tom Harper, based on a screenplay by the show’s creator, Steven Knight.

The Peaky Blinders movie will be an epic continuation of the multi-award-winning, six-season gangster saga. Set in Birmingham between 1919 and 1934, Peaky Blinders followed the rise—and occasional fall—of the Shelby family as they navigated a world fraught with radical social, economic, and political change.
Recently, set images of Murphy and Rebecca Ferguson filming in Manchester leaked, giving the first look at Ferguson’s undisclosed character.
The film also stars Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs, The Hateful Eight), Stephen Graham (Matilda, Boiling Point), Sophie Rundle (After the Flood, Gentleman Jack), Ned Dennehy (Culprits, The Peripheral), Packy Lee (Blue Lights), Ian Peck (His Dark Materials, Robin Hood), Jay Lycurgo (Steve, Half Bad: The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself), and Barry Keoghan (Saltburn, The Banshees of Inisherin).
The production team includes Caryn Mandabach, Knight, Murphy, and Guy Heeley as producers. Executive producers are Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren, and David Mason. The film will be made in partnership with BBC Film.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man does not have a release date yet, but it is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2025.
