New concept art has been revealed by concept artist Imogene Chayes, showcasing superhero suits for Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney in Sony’s ‘Madame Web‘.
On Instagram, Chayes shared the suits featuring Johnson and Sweeney.
Chayes wrote, “‘Madame Web’ concept art! I had an absolute blast working on this project. How can designing super suits for a gang of hot ladies not be fun? I got to work with one of my all-time favorite costume designers, Ngila Dickson, who really gave me the room to play with all of the style lines for these suits.”
Chayes wrote, “This is the concept art for Julia Cornwall, a.k.a. Spiderwoman, played by the lovely Sydney Sweeney! She is my favorite. We decided to stick with her bold, graphic style from the comics.”
Directed by S. J. Clarkson from a screenplay by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. The film is the sixth installment in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU). The film stars Johnson as Madame Web, Sweeney as Julia Cornwall, Celeste O’Connor, and Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim as Ezekiel Sims, Emma Roberts, Mike Epps, Adam Scott, and Zosia Mamet.
According to the film’s plot: Meanwhile, in another universe… In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel’s most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures—if they can all survive a deadly present.
‘Madame Web’ premiered in the United States on February 14 and earned $52 million worldwide, but it’s expected to be a box-office disappointment.
