Tilman Singer‘s Cuckoo—starring Hunter Schafer—has confirmed its VOD release date. The film will be available to buy or rent on digital HD platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies & TV on September 17, 2024.
Here’s the official synopsis for Cuckoo:
Gretchen (Hunter Schafer) reluctantly leaves her American home to live with her father, who has just moved into a resort in the German Alps with his new family. Arriving at their future residence, something doesn’t seem right in this tranquil vacation paradise. Gretchen is plagued by strange noises and bloody visions until she discovers a shocking secret that concerns her own family.
Directed by Singer, who also wrote the script, the film stars Hunter Schafer as Gretchen, Dan Stevens as Herr König, Jessica Henwick as Beth, Marton Csokas as Luis, Jan Bluthardt as Henry, Greta Fernández as Trixie, Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey as Ed, Mila Lieu as Alma, Konrad Singer as Erik, Kalin Morrow as the Hooded Woman, and Proschat Madani as Dr. Bonomo.
The film was produced by Markus Halberschmidt, Josh Rosenbaum, Maria Tsigka, Ken Kao, and Thor Bradwell, with production companies Neon, Fiction Park, and Waypoint Entertainment.
Neon released Cuckoo in theaters across the United States on August 9, 2024.
