Diego Luna confirms that filming for ‘Andor‘ Season 2 has wrapped.
On Instagram, Luna shared the wrap news, praising the entire crew for their hard work.
Luna wrote, “Today is the last day of filming Andor. I could not be more thankful to the entire crew for this amazing experience and the years of hard work.”
He continued, “More than 700 people have worked on this production, and it is impossible to say goodbye and thank you to everyone individually, which is why I write here. THANK YOU for the love and the wonderful experience.”
Ariel Kleiman, Janus Metz, and Alonso Ruizpalacios will direct episodes for the second season. Kleiman will helm six episodes. Returning writers include Tony Gilroy, Dan Gilroy, and Beau Willimon, with Tom Bissell joining. Tony Gilroy wrote the third episode.
The Andor’ series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

Who will Return to Their Roles in Season 2 of ‘Andor’?
In season 2, Diego Luna will reprise his role as Cassian Andor, alongside Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen, Kyle Soller as Syril Karn, Denise Gough as Dedra Meero, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, Andy Serkis as Kino Loy, Muhannad Bhaier as Wilmon, and Joplin Sibtain as Brasso.
Season 2 of ‘Andor’ will consist of 12 episodes.
‘Andor’ Season 2 was expected to be released on Disney+ in August 2024.
