‘Goosebumps‘ renewed for Season 2 on Disney+ as an anthology series, featuring a whole new story and cast. The second season is set to consist of 8 episodes, according to a Disney press release.
‘Goosebumps’ Season 1 debuted on Disney+ in October 2023. Disney reported that the series premiere attracted 4.2 million total views globally across Disney+ and Hulu within the initial three days of its release. The cast for Season 1 included Ana Yi Puig, Miles McKenna, Will Price, Justin Long, Zack Morris, Isa Briones, and Rachael Harris.
Has ‘Goosebumps’ Been Renewed for Season 2?
During the Television Critics Association winter press tour, it was revealed that ‘Goosebumps’ Season 2 on Disney+ will have eight episodes, down from the first season’s ten. The show will adopt an anthology format, featuring a new cast and settings based on R.L. Stine’s book series.
The logline for Season 2 describes, “Teenage siblings discover a threat within their home, setting off a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, the duo find themselves entangled in the story of five teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.”

The show is developed by Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman, who also serve as executive producers. Hilary Winston is the showrunner and executive producer. Other executive producers include Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty from Original Film, Iole Lucchese and Caitlin Friedman from Scholastic Entertainment, Conor Welch, and Erin O’Malley. Disney Branded TV has announced renewals for Season 3 of the animated Disney Junior series ‘SuperKitties‘ and ‘Pupstruction.’
