According to reports, ‘Dune: Part Two’ has surpassed $100 million globally exclusively from IMAX screenings.
The film crossed the half-billion mark at the box office, exceeding the complete box office earnings of the 2021 Dune, which totaled $435 million. This achievement marks a victory for Denis Villeneuve and Warner Bros. Pictures.
Villeneuve returns with ‘Dune: Part Two,’ the highly anticipated sequel to the Academy Award-winning ‘Dune.’ The film continues the epic adaptation of Frank Herbert’s celebrated novel, featuring a star-studded cast including Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, Christopher Walken, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Léa Seydoux, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem.
‘Dune: Part Two’ will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a path of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.
‘Dune: Part Two’ holds the title of the highest-rated movie ever on IMDb with a score of 9.4/10, accompanied by an impressive 97% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 4.5 rating on Letterboxd. It ranks as the 21st highest-rated film of all time and received an A CinemaScore from audiences.
