Ethan Coen’s ‘Honey Don’t!‘ features Margaret Qualley (Maid), Aubrey Plaza (My Old Ass), and Chris Evans (Captain America) in an upcoming comedy, continuing their collaboration after ‘Drive-Away Dolls.’ It is scheduled for a February 23rd release by Focus Features.
In ‘Honey Don’t!’, directed by Coen and co-written with his wife Tricia Cooke, the film reunites the pair known for Coen Brothers classics. Produced by Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Coen, Cooke, and Robert Graf, Cooke also co-wrote the upcoming ‘Drive-Away Dolls.’
Qualley, a two-time Emmy nominee, is celebrated for her roles in series like Maid and standout performances in films like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. She recently appeared in Yorgos Lanthimos‘ Academy Award-nominated fantasy Poor Things and will be part of Lanthimos’ upcoming anthology film Kinds of Kindness.
Plaza, known for her Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated role in The White Lotus, showcased her talents at Sundance in My Old Ass. Upcoming projects include Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis and Marvel’s Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
Evans, who last appeared in Netflix’s Pain Hustlers, is set for Amazon MGM Studios’ Red One with Dwayne Johnson, releasing on November 15, 2024.
In 2022, Coen began solo projects with the A24 documentary “Jerry Lee Lewis: Trouble in Mind.” Before that, he and his brother Joel created the acclaimed Western anthology “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs,” earning three Academy Award nominations and winning Best Screenplay at the Venice Film Festival.
