Finally, we have the actor who will portray Knull, the symbiote god, in Sony’s Venom: The Last Dance.
Who is Playing Knull in Venom: The Last Dance?
According to insider Daniel Richtman, who confirmed the news in a post on his Patreon, Andy Serkis, the director of 2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage, is reportedly set to play Knull in Venom: The Last Dance. Serkis’ Knull is also expected to appear in other future projects.
Sony revealed the first look at Knull in the final trailer of Venom: The Last Dance, but they had not confirmed who was playing the role at that time. Insider @MyTimeToShineH on X said, “Knull doesn’t get a lot of screen time in Venom: The Last Dance. This is more of a tease for what’s to come.”
We can expect Knull to appear in the post-credits scene of Venom: The Last Dance, and the character is set to feature in Sony’s upcoming projects, including Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man 4.
Who is Knull in Marvel?
In Marvel Comics, Knull was created by Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman. He is the god of the symbiotes — an ancient and malevolent cosmic entity who predates the universe. Knull first appeared in Venom #3 in 2018 and has since become a central figure in the lore surrounding the symbiotes, including Venom and Carnage.
On X, Cates wrote, “Also, I’ve been talking with Sony, and I read a script for Venom: The Last Dance, and I’ll say this; it is so much bigger and so much more ambitious than you can imagine. And, um….KNULL. Holy shit.”
According to our exclusive report, Knull was the one who sent Venom and other symbiotes to Earth as part of his secret master plan. However, Venom chose to stay on Earth with Eddie. In Marvel Comics, Knull is the creator of the symbiote.
