Exclusive: Gareth Edwards’ ‘Jurassic World 4‘ movie, as confirmed by insider Daniel Richtman, has been tentatively titled ‘Jurassic City.’
Filming for the movie is set to begin on July 31, 2024, in Los Angeles, CA, United States. Reports indicate that the film will offer “a completely fresh take on a Jurassic era,” with no expectations for the return of Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, or original trilogy actors Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neill.
Directed by Gareth Edwards and written by David Koepp, the upcoming movie marks a fresh take, ushering in a new Jurassic era. This fourth installment of Jurassic World sees the return of screenwriter David Koepp, renowned for his contributions to Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic and its 1997 sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Koepp’s involvement hints at a continuation of the franchise’s legacy, promising an exciting blend of storytelling expertise and nostalgic elements.
The film will be executive produced by Steven Spielberg through Amblin Entertainment, with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley producing. Kelly McCormick will also produce through 87North. Sara Scott, Executive Vice President of Production Development, and Jacqueline Garell, Creative Executive of Production Development, will oversee the project for the Studio.
The film will hit theaters on July 2, 2025, by Universal Pictures.
