Paramount is reportedly working on a live-action ‘Danny Phantom‘ movie.
According to industry insider Daniel Richtman on Patreon, Paramount is working on a live-action ‘Danny Phantom’ adaptation, bringing the adventures of the half-ghost hero, Danny Fenton, to life.
Who is Danny Phantom?
Danny Phantom is the main character in the animated series of the same name. Created by Butch Hartman, he is a teenage boy with ghost powers, transforming into a superhero with abilities like flight and invisibility.
‘Danny Phantom’ aired from 2004 to 2007, showing Danny balancing high school life with fighting ghosts. He faces various supernatural foes and meets other ghostly characters throughout the show.
The official announcement from Paramount is pending, and there are no updates on pre-production. According to FandomeWire, there’s speculation that Spider-Man star Tom Holland might be a perfect fit for the role of Danny Phantom in the film.
Paramount Pictures currently has 19 movies in pre-production. Some of the upcoming releases include ‘The SpongeBob Movie 4’ scheduled for December 19, 2025, ‘The Smurfs Musical’ on February 14, 2025, and ‘Smile 2’ on October 18, 2024. Other projects, such as ‘2084,’ ‘Adewumi Project,’ ‘American Son,’ ‘Assisted Living,’ ‘Becoming Noble,’ ‘Bee Gees Project,’ ‘Brilliance,’ ‘Clifford the Big Red Dog 2,’ ‘Election 2,’ ‘Harbinger,’ ‘Planes, Trains & Automobiles,’ ‘Shrinking of Treehorn,’ ‘Spamalot,’ ‘Star Trek Sequel,’ ‘The Adventures of Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun,’ and ‘Your Name,’ are all in the pre-production status with their release dates yet to be announced.
