Marvel’s ‘Blade‘ will start filming in fall 2023 after the SAG-AFTRA strike ends. Recently, the film’s release date has been rescheduled from September 6, 2024, to February 14, 2025. The film’s plot is set in the year 1920.
Lilith Confirmed as the Main Villain in ‘Blade’ Movie
According to reports, Lilith is confirmed to be the main villain in the ‘Blade’ movie. In Marvel comics, there are 3 Lilith characters: Lilith, the Mother of Demons, is a powerful demon and the mother of characters like Ghost Rider, often shown as a villain; Lilith Drake is a vampire character typically portrayed as a comic book antagonist; and Lilith, the Daughter of Dracula, appears as Dracula’s offspring, also a vampire, in various Marvel storylines.
Mia Goth is rumored to play Dracula’s daughter, Lilith Drake, in ‘Blade’.
‘Blade’ is directed by Yann Demange and written by Michael Starrbury and Nic Pizzolatto, and stars Mahershala Ali in the titular role. Ali reprises his role as Eric Brooks/Blade from the previous Blade films. The cast also includes Delroy Lindo as Deacon Frost, John West Jr. as DEE, Aaron Pierre, Mia Goth, and Milan Ray.
The film is a reboot of the franchise and the 36th film in the MCU. Produced by Kevin Feige, Eric Hauserman Carroll, Louis D’Esposito, and Bassam Tariq.
‘Blade’ will hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
