‘Venom 3’ is directed by Kelly Marcel from a screenplay she co-wrote with Hardy. The film is a sequel to Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The film stars Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom and Juno Temple is the only confirmed cast member as of now. Filming began in June 2023 in Los Mateos, Cartagena, Spain, but was briefly paused due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. In an interview with Collider, Marcel described ‘Venom 3’ as “going to be amazing.”
The plot of the film revolves around Venom and Toxin, who find themselves being pursued by the government. In order to combat the Xenophage, a genetically engineered symbiote killer that has gone rogue, Venom and Toxin are forced to unite and fight together.
Produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Hutch Parker, Marcel, and Hardy. The film is part of Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man cinematic universe, which is separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which focuses on characters such as Spider-Man.
‘Venom 3’ will hit theaters on October 25, 2024, by Sony Pictures Releasing.
