What is the Plot of ‘Anyone But You’?
The R-rated romantic comedy follows, “A Modernization of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. When college arch-nemeses reunite years after graduation for a destination wedding, they pretend to be a couple for their own personal reasons. But through pretending, they actually fall in love.”
The film is based on Ilana Wolpert’s script, which Will Gluck is rewriting and directing. Produced by Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Gluck (who, with his Olive Bridge Entertainment, has a first-look deal with Sony), Executive produced by Sweeney for Fifty-Fifty Films, Natalie Sellers, and Alyssa Altman for RK Films.
While filming at Maroubra Beach in the Eastern suburbs of Australia, Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell were seen sharing a kiss, which caught the attention of Powell’s girlfriend, Gigi Paris, and sparked rumors.
‘Anyone But You’ also stars Alexandra Shipp, Michelle Hurd, Bryan Brown, Darren Barnet, Hadley Robinson, Dermot Mulroney, Rachel Griffiths, and GaTa.
