Netflix revealed the first look at ‘Atlas,’ starring Jennifer Lopez (The Mother, Marry Me), Simu Liu (Kim’s Convenience, Barbie), and Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us, American Fiction). The high-tech and futuristic adventure is set to take audiences on a galaxy-spanning journey, written by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite, and directed by Brad Peyton, known for ‘San Andreas‘ and ‘Rampage.’ See the image below.
What is the Plot of ‘Atlas’?
Atlas Shepherd (Lopez), a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it.
The film also stars Gregory J. Cohan (Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty), Abraham Popoola (Andor), Lana Parrilla (The Lincoln Lawyer, Once Upon a Time), and Mark Strong (Murder Mystery 2, Kingsman: The Secret Service).
Produced by a powerhouse team including Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Brad Peyton, Jeff Fierson, Jennifer Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter.
