The first look at Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, the daughter of Emperor Shaddam IV (Played by Christopher Walken) in ‘Dune: Part Two‘ has been revealed exclusively by Vanity Fair. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on November 3, 2023.
In the Dune Universe, Florence Pugh has joined the cast as Princess Irulan, daughter of Emperor Shaddam IV (played by Christopher Walken), the supreme ruler of the galaxy. Speaking to Vanity Fair, director Denis Villeneuve said, “When I met Florence, I was struck by her assurance, how grounded she is as a young woman, how direct, how unapologetic. She has something inherently royal about her. I will definitely believe that Florence could become, in the future, a prime minister.“
Dune: Part Two Trailer Is Expected In Two Weeks
According to reports, the ‘Dune: Part Two’ trailer will reportedly be released online within the next 2 weeks. The film’s first trailer was shown at CinemaCon 2023 and it shows Timotheé Chalamet‘s Paul Atreides riding a sandworm; it is filmed in IMAX, compared to 40% for the first movie.
Villeneuve told, “Paul will have to ride one of these beasts in Dune: Part Two. “It’s a matter of life and death because, if you fuck it up, you’re going to kill yourself.” Villeneuve added, “It’s a rite of passage. It’s the way you become an adult in the Fremen world. That is a very important part of their culture and they respect the worms as half-gods, so they have a religious relationship with the worm.”
Dune: Part Two is a sequel to the 2021 film, which is adapted from the 1965 novel Dune by Frank Herbert and directed by Denis Villeneuve from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts and Eric Roth. The film stars Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Stellan Skarsgård as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Dave Bautista as Glossu Rabban, Stephen McKinley Henderson as Thufir Hawat, Zendaya as Chani, Charlotte Rampling as Gaius Helen Mohiam, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, Christopher Walken as Shaddam IV, Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot, Souheila Yacoub as Shishakli, and Tim Blake Nelson.
In Dune: Part Two, will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.
Dune: Part Two will hit theaters on November 3, 2023.
