The first behind-the-scenes look at Milly Alcock as Supergirl in James Gunn’s Superman has been revealed. Alcock appears in a cameo as Supergirl ahead of her own solo film.
On Instagram, Lindsay McAllister Pritchard, Co-Department Head of Hair on Superman, shared a BTS image of Alcock as Supergirl, writing: “Challenge to color correct Milly’s hair in one day… the day before she worked.” See the images below.

McAllister Pritchard wrote, “Supergirl: Milly Alcock. Challenge to color-correct Milly’s hair in one day — the day before she worked — accepted! What a great sport she was, having jet lag from just flying into Atlanta the day before and then having to sit for a total of eight hours in my chair. I worked in salons for years, and making clients blonder was always one of my favorite tasks. Lots of foils and toning were necessary, and I couldn’t begin to tell you everything I used since it was over a year ago. I don’t have formulas — I just eyeball it and mix things like a mad chemist.
Thanks for trusting me, Peter, when I said, ‘I got this.’ I can’t wait to see more of Milly in Supergirl, which I didn’t get to be a part of, sadly — but I cannot wait to watch it.”
Alcock as Supergirl makes a cameo at the end of the Superman movie, where she is seen picking up her dog, Krypto, from the Fortress of Solitude.
Here’s the logline from DC Studios for Superman: “In his signature style, Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor, and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.”

The film also features Edi Gathegi (The Harder They Fall), Anthony Carrigan (Barry, Gotham), Nathan Fillion (the Guardians of the Galaxy films, The Suicide Squad), Isabela Merced (Alien: Romulus), Skyler Gisondo (Licorice Pizza, Booksmart), Sara Sampaio (At Midnight), Gabriela de Faría (The Moodys), Wendell Pierce (Selma, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan), Alan Tudyk (Andor), Pruitt Taylor Vince (Bird Box), and Neva Howell (Greedy People).
Supergirl is directed by Craig Gillespie, written by Ana Nogueira, and stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl, alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa as Lobo.
