Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday has officially begun production in London.
Following day one of shooting, a mystery actor was spotted on set while filming Avengers: Doomsday. Footage shared by UnBoxPHD on X (formerly Twitter) shows an actor entering a house, with their face not visible. See the clip below.
From the footage, fans began predicting that the actor in the image could be Paul Rudd, Hugh Jackman, Simu Liu, or part of Robert Downey Jr.‘s backstory as Victor Von Doom.
The Russo Brothers recently shared the first-look BTS set photo showing Downey Jr.’s chair labeled “Victor Von Doom” in an Instagram post. Also, a new report from an insider source confirmed that the Avengers movies will feature a few one-off heroes and villains — characters we’ve never seen before. They likely won’t appear again after the saga ends.
There is a rumor that in Avengers: Doomsday, Doctor Doom will enter the Void in the final game and open the doors to the Citadel of the End of Time, just as Loki and Sylvie did. The Avengers, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and X-Men will try to stop him from reaching Loki. Doom will have DoomBots, villains, and evil versions of heroes to help him.
The film is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely.
In Avengers: Doomsday, the MCU will begin its end. Ian McKellen as Magneto, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing), and Lewis Pullman as Sentry.
According to Marvel President Kevin Feige, the full cast for Avengers: Doomsday has not yet been revealed. He also confirmed that the film will focus on the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts, and the original X-Men all fighting Doctor Doom.
