Batman has made his appearance in the DCU in Creature Commandos Episode 6. So, it is confirmed that Robert Pattinson’s Batman will not be the DCU’s Batman.
We have also gotten the first look at Gotham City in the DCU. In a short glimpse, Batman is shown with a longer cape, white lenses, and trunks. It will be exciting to see this in live-action.

In the interview with Rotten Tomatoes TV, James Gunn appeared for the breakdown of all the hidden Easter eggs and references from Episode 6 of Creature Commandos. Gunn says that we won’t see Batman’s origin story in the DCU.
Gunn said, “Just like when we come from the Superman movie, we see that Superman already exists. He’s already known by the people in Metropolis… We don’t need to hear the origin story again.”

According to Gunn, Batman already exists in the DCU, and this is a key way to introduce him. His presence in the universe is crucial, showing that he plays an important role. Batman’s impact on the DCU is evident, especially in his ability to defeat dangerous and tough enemies like Phosphorus.
Gunn said, “It’s a great way to show that Batman does exist. He already exists in this universe… That’s just a way to introduce that Batman is apart of this universe. He’s an important part of this universe and he has an impact on it including defeating such pretty dangerous scary people like phosphorus who’s pretty tough.”

Gunn says that we will see Batman and Superman together in the DCU.
He added, “We’re going to do great things with him [Batman]. He’s the most popular superhero in the world… I can’t wait for people to see more of him, along with Superman. And together.”
