20th Century Studios has unveiled the first look at Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in Scott Cooper’s Deliver Me From Nowhere, a biographical musical drama showing Springsteen’s journey to create his 1982 album Nebraska. See the first-look image below.
Directed by Cooper, the film is based on Warren Zanes’ book of the same name. Cooper collaborated closely with both Bruce Springsteen and his manager, Jon Landau—portrayed by Jeremy Strong—to authentically capture their story, stating, ‘Their creative energy fuels every part of this journey.’
In a statement, Cooper said, “Beginning production on this film is an incredibly humbling and thrilling journey.” Cooper added, “Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Nebraska’ has profoundly shaped my artistic vision. The album’s raw, unvarnished portrayal of life’s trials and resilience resonates deeply with me. Our film aims to capture that same spirit, bringing Warren Zanes’ compelling narrative of Bruce’s life to the screen with authenticity and hope, honoring Bruce’s legacy in a transformative cinematic experience.”

From 20th Century Studios, Deliver Me From Nowhere follows Bruce Springsteen during the making of his 1982 album Nebraska, a dark, stripped-down record that marked a significant artistic shift from his earlier works, Born to Run and Darkness on the Edge of Town.
On The Graham Norton Show, Springsteen shared his thoughts on the making of Deliver Me From Nowhere: ‘It’s a lovely cast, and I am involved a little,’ he said. ‘This is not easy to do because you can’t do an imitation; you have to do a personal interpretation … It’s difficult, but he’s a great actor and sings pretty good.’
The film also stars Paul Walter Hauser, Odessa Young, Stephen Graham as Douglas Springsteen, Harrison Gilbertson, and Johnny Cannizzaro as Stevie Van Zandt.
The film is produced by Ellen Goldsmith-Vein (The Maze Runner trilogy), Eric Robinson, Scott Cooper, Warren Zanes, and Scott Stuber. Bruce Springsteen and Jon Landau are also closely involved in the project.
Deliver Me From Nowhere will hit theaters in 2025.
