Marvel Studios has released the final trailer for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ and what’s exciting is that Dafne Keen is returning as Laura/X-23 in the film.
A shot featuring Keen and Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine is seen in the trailer. Wolverine says, “You got the wrong guy.” Laura says, “You were always the wrong guy… till you weren’t.” Watch the trailer below.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Keen said, “It was very much a reality that then kind of fell through. There were talks of a script being made. I’d heard it was an X-23 [movie]. I dunno how much of what I’m saying is true because I was 11, but this is what I’d heard through the grapevine.”
Keen’s agent had been negotiating for a month straight in secret when she got the call while relaxing after a 12-hour day of filming and stunt training. “I immediately screamed,” Keen continues. “I dropped my phone in the bath. I had to put it in rice; it was a whole thing.” Keen admits there were nerves about returning to a role she played eight years earlier as a child. “I was a bit freaked out,” she says about getting to set. “I was like, ‘I will have forgotten how to play her. She’s not in me anymore.'” Keen rewatched “Logan” in preparation, trying to remember what she was doing as a young performer. “We went straight into this pretty intense scene. I know I was freaking out,” she adds. “As soon as they said, ‘Rolling!’ I really felt like we were back doing ‘Logan.’ It was like eight years hadn’t passed.”

Here’s the official synopsis for Deadpool & Wolverine:
Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake to date—”Deadpool & Wolverine.” A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. His days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. When his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit-up again with an even more reluctantlier… reluctanter? Reluctantest? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine to— F***. Synopses are so fuck*** stupid.
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ tickets are now on sale at Fandango, AMC, IMAX, and Cinemark. The film will be released on IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, Cinemark XD, and premium screens worldwide on July 26, 2024.
