FYI: This post contains spoilers for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Sadie Sink is almost confirmed to play Jean Grey in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, with Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) set to protect her from Damage Control (DODC).
According to scooper MAJESTIC, Frank Castle saves Jean Grey from Damage Control agents. He also saves Peter during the fight at the Bar with No Name and prevents him from being killed by several villains.

In the fight against Tombstone, when Peter is losing, Frank attacks with everything he has and defeats Tombstone. In the final battle, he becomes the ultimate savior, rescuing Peter once again. Jean also has a bigger role.
At the end of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Peter is unable to overcome his physical, metamorphic changes. He transforms into a creature and fights the Punisher, Professor Hulk, and Jean.
We recently reported that Tramell Tillman will be playing the role of William Metzger, an obscure villain from Marvel’s X-Men comics, who is the head of Damage Control. Meanwhile, Sadie Sink’s Jean Grey has reportedly been under DODC surveillance for a long time.
In the recently leaked Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer, Sink’s character reportedly warns Peter Parker directly in the footage:
“You’re a mess, Spider-Man. Don’t get in my way. Otherwise, it won’t just your friends who don’t remember who Peter Parker is.”
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. It stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds, and Tony Revolori as Eugene “Flash” Thompson.
Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Marvin Jones III has been confirmed to play Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
Here’s the synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
