James Gunn‘s Superman world tour has kicked off in Manila, Philippines. David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Gunn, and producer Peter Safran were spotted on the red carpet. A special surprise for fans was the screening of the first 30 minutes of the film. The crew will also travel to Rio de Janeiro, London, Paris, Los Angeles, New York, and Beijing in the coming days.

Following the screening, fans who watched the 30-minute preview of Superman shared their reactions:
- Well-paced, vibrant, and a must-see in IMAX
- Flight scenes are fast, dynamic, and visually unique
- The score is well-integrated and enhances the experience
- Not much fighting, but there is an action sequence
- Trailers revealed very little of the actual plot

According to Deadline, Superman is currently tracking for a domestic box office opening of $90 million to $125 million. The film has already earned $10 million in ticket presales. Its production budget was reportedly $225 million.

The film stars Corenswet (Twisters, Hollywood) in the dual role of Superman/Clark Kent, Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult (the X-Men movies, Juror #2) as Lex Luthor. The film also features Edi Gathegi (The Harder They Fall), Anthony Carrigan (Barry, Gotham), Nathan Fillion (the Guardians of the Galaxy films, The Suicide Squad), Isabela Merced (Alien: Romulus), Skyler Gisondo (Licorice Pizza, Booksmart), Sara Sampaio (At Midnight), Gabriela de Faría (The Moodys), Wendell Pierce (Selma, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan), Alan Tudyk (Andor), Pruitt Taylor Vince (Bird Box), and Neva Howell (Greedy People).
DC Studios heads Peter Safran and Gunn are producing the film, which Gunn is directing from his own screenplay, based on characters from DC — Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
Superman will have a duration of 2 hours and 9 minutes. The film will be released in theaters and IMAX nationwide on July 11, 2025, and internationally beginning July 9, 2025, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
