The “Wednesday” and “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” star Jenna Ortega is set to join J.J. Abrams’ secret untitled movie alongside Glen Powell (“Anyone but You,” “Twisters“).
As per Deadline, Ortega is close to finalizing her role in the film, though plot details are not yet available. Abrams wrote the script and will direct. Bad Robot is producing.
As of now, we don’t have any updates on further casting or the filming start date. Warner Bros. Pictures is developing the film, and we can soon expect an official update from the studio.
Ortega’s upcoming film, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” is set for its Venice premiere this year and will hit theaters on September 6, 2024. Additionally, she stars as a robot named Klara in “Klara and the Sun” alongside Amy Adams, a film about easing the loneliness of those she lives with. Netflix’s “Wednesday” Season 2, in which she reprises her role, is also in post-production.
