A24 has released the first trailer for John Crowley‘s R-rated rom-com ‘We Live in Time,’ starring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield. The 2-minute, 27-second trailer features romance, comedy, pain, and melody. Pugh and Garfield’s pairing seems to be working great. Watch the trailer below.
Directed by Crowley from a screenplay by Nick Payne, the film stars Pugh as Almut, Garfield as Tobias, Adam James as Simon Maxon, Marama Corlett as Adrienne Duvall, Aoife Hinds as Skye, Nikhil Parmar as Sanjaya, Heather Craney as Buffy Jones, and Kara Lynch.
‘We Live in Time’ follows Almut (Pugh) and Tobias (Garfield) are brought together in a surprise encounter that changes their lives. Through snapshots of their life together — falling for each other, building a home, becoming a family — a difficult truth is revealed that rocks its foundation. As they embark on a path challenged by the limits of time, they learn to cherish each moment of the unconventional route their love story has taken, in filmmaker John Crowley’s decade-spanning, deeply moving romance.
Produced by Leah Clarke, Adam Ackland, and Guy Heeley, the film is a collaboration between Film4, SunnyMarch, and StudioCanal.
According to Variety, ‘We Live in Time’ will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. The film has a runtime of 1 hour and 48 minutes (108 minutes).
‘We Live in Time’ will have a limited theatrical release in the United States by A24 on October 11, 2024. StudioCanal will release it in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, the Benelux, Australia, and New Zealand.
