‘Joker: Folie à Deux‘ is widely anticipated to premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival in September 2024.
Directed by Todd Phillips and stars Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck, Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey.
According to reports, ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ carries a $200 million budget, with Phoenix slated to earn $20 million and Gaga $12 million.
The filming started in December 2022 and finished in April 2023. While filming was underway, leaked images of Gaga in New York City surfaced online. Gaga is playing the role of Dr. Harleen Quinzel (Harley Quinn), a psychiatrist who falls in love with Arthur Fleck (Phoenix) and is also his greatest supporter.
The film is produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, Bron Creative, and Joint Effort.
The 81st Venice International Film Festival, organized by La Biennale di Venezia, will take place on the Lido di Venezia from August 28 to September 7, 2024. The Festival holds official recognition from the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Association).
‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ will hit theaters on October 4, 2024, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
