‘Kingsman 3‘ is officially in the works, as confirmed by director Matthew Vaughn.
According to reports, Vaughn will return to direct the third installment of the Kingsman franchise, and production is scheduled to start by the end of 2023 after the SAG strike ends.
Taron Egerton and Colin Firth will reprise their roles as Eggsy and Harry for the final installment, concluding their characters’ story.
Director Matthew Vaughn previously slated there are big plans for the dynamic between Eggsy and Harry. He said, “Eggsy and Harry [will be in it], obviously. But it’s the gang coming back together and it’s one of those moments that…when we wrote the screenplay, it was very much about, okay, I saw how people loved the relationship of Eggsy and Harry. So we just came up with this thing, what could be the ultimate reason for them to either fall in love or to hate each other forever? So that’s what this movie is all about is will they or won’t they, let’s just say.”

At the New York Comic Con, Vaughn confirmed he’s directing ‘Kingsman 3’ next year and another Kick-Ass film.
In an interview with ComicBook.com, Vaughn said, “We will be doing a reboot of Kick-Ass next year, but it’s a total… It’s like, It’s as brave as the first one but totally different and more reflective of the times we’re in.”
During the NYCC panel, Vaughn said, “We are working on that at the moment.” Vaughn added, “It’s a weird time to be in the movie business. We’re not making movies, but that’s another story. But it’s a tough time, and… next year we’re rebooting Kick-Ass, and we will be making Kingsman 3.”
Recently, Egerton told Collider that he had an idea for Kingsman 3. During the press tour for the upcoming Tetris, Egerton told Collider’s Steve Weintraub “I have an idea for Kingsman. I have my own idea that I would like to pitch to Matthew, and I think that will be happening soon, but he has the wheels in motion on a big idea of his own. So who knows, you know? Who knows where it will land?”
