Disney has revealed that they will be releasing several series in 4K UHD and Blu-ray formats for the first time, including ‘Loki‘ Season 1 on September 26, 2023; ‘WandaVision‘ on November 28, 2023; and both seasons of ‘The Mandalorian‘ on December 12, 2023.
The ‘Loki’ Blu-ray release will have a deleted scene with Frog Thor, voiced by Chris Hemsworth. Kate Herron, director of Loki season 1, already confirmed that Hemsworth had a secret role as the voice of Throg (Frog Thor) in Episode 5. Herron revealed that Hemsworth recorded new lines for the role.
‘Loki’ Episode 5 Deleted Scene Reveals Frog Thor with Chris Hemsworth’s Voice
In Episode 5 of ‘Loki,’ there’s a deleted scene where Frog Thor appears during Loki’s coronation, and it’s been confirmed that Hemsworth provided the voice for Throg.
As per the deleted scene description: “Mobius reviews some moments from Loki’s timeline, in which Frog Thor makes an appearance during Loki’s coronation.“

Loki composer Natalie Holt shared in a July 2021 interview with The Direct that the scene of Loki in the Asgardian throne room from the Season 1 trailer was meant for a deleted scene. This scene would have featured Throg giving Loki a beating in a TVA time loop.
Holt said, “That was a moment in Episode 1. When Mobius was showing Loki his life, there were more moments in there. I think they just kind of cut it down to give it a bit more focus. But there were a few extra moments in there, and that Frog of Thunder moment was one of them. I had actually written it; I had done something with choir for it, like it was this big, grand moment where Loki takes over the crown in Asgard, and then you see Thor as a frog.”
‘Loki season 2‘ arrives on Disney+ on October 6, 2023, with six exciting episodes. Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15, and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes, and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.
