M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Trap’ VOD Release Date Revealed

M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Trap’ is heading to VOD/digital streaming platforms following the theatrical release. The film will be available to buy or rent on digital HD platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies & TV on September 3, 2024.

Shyamalan wrote, directed, and produced the film, which stars Josh Hartnett as Cooper, a father who attends a pop concert with his teenage daughter, where they realize they are at the center of a dark and sinister event.

The cast also includes Saleka Shyamalan as Lady Raven, Alison Pill as Rachel, Hayley Mills as Dr. Josephine Grant, Jonathan Langdon as Jamie, Mark Bacolcol as Spencer, Marnie McPhail as Jody’s mom, Kid Cudi as the Thinker, Russ as Parker Wayne, Marcia Bennett as Cooper’s mom, Vanessa Smythe as the tour manager, and Lochlan Miller as Logan.

Trap received a 67% score on Rotten Tomatoes, a 6.2/10 rating on IMDb, and a 48% score on Metacritic.

The film was produced by Ashwin Rajan, Marc Bienstock, and M. Night Shyamalan, under the banner of Blinding Edge Pictures. Warner Bros. Pictures released the film theatrically in the United States on August 2.
