Marvel Television‘s Young Avengers project was recently retitled Champions, and the series has now been officially added to IMDb, featuring a listed cast and a small hint at the plot.
It is reported that Hailee Steinfeld will reprise her role as Kate Bishop, alongside Iman Vellani (Ms. Marvel), Joe Locke (Wiccan), Kathryn Newton (Cassie Lang), Xochitl Gomez (America Chavez), and Dominique Thorne (Ironheart).

Here’s the plot description for Champions:
“After a devastating event, mysterious teen heroes emerge, calling themselves the Young Avengers. But who are these young vigilantes, and what gives them the right to use that name?”
In a leaked concept art by a former Marvel employee, a piece of Young Avengers concept art was featured along with Star-Lord and Wong. Check it out below.

A report from insider Daniel Richtman revealed that Marvel’s Young Avengers project was originally planned as a film but was later shifted to a series. This change was reportedly influenced by the underperformance of The Marvels at the box office. Additionally, the project was reworked as a TV show and retitled Champions—partly due to some of the actors no longer being considered “young.”
Champions is expected to start production in 2026 and is expected to release after Avengers: Secret Wars. A soft reboot will happen after Secret Wars in the MCU, so there is a possibility that the Young Avengers may be in a new universe.
The release date for Champions on Disney+ is currently TBA.
