Marvel’s ‘Blade‘ game is reportedly set for a 2027 release, as confirmed by insider Jeff Grubb.
During the Game Awards 2023, Arkane Lyon, Bethesda, and Xbox revealed a new game based on Marvel’s ‘Blade,’ with a teaser trailer. According to Bethesda, Marvel’s Blade is a mature, single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris, confirmed as an Xbox First Party Marvel Game, available on Game Pass Day One, and an Xbox Ecosystem Exclusive.
In the recent Xbox Era podcast, insider Jeff Grubb discussed the ‘Blade’ game, mentioning that the current internal release window is 2027. This timeline aligns with a six-year gap since the launch of Arkane Lyon’s previous game, Deathloop.
Grubb said, “Arkane’s Blade. If you’re looking to know when I can play that, then, right now internally, they’re expecting that to be sold on store shelves and digitally in the year 2027.” Grubb added, “That is the year they are aiming for with that game, at least as far as I know what Marvel is marking on their calendar… That means 2027 at the earliest; don’t expect it before that.”
In Marvel’s Blade, Eric Brooks is the legendary Daywalker, half-man, half-vampire torn between the warm society of the living and the rushing power of the undead. From Bethesda and Arkane Lyon, the studio that brought you Dishonored and ‘Deathloop’, Marvel’s Blade is a mature, single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris, now in development in collaboration with Marvel Games.
The upcoming ‘Blade’ reboot film from Marvel will begin in 2024. Directed by Yann Demange and written by Michael Starrbury, Nic Pizzolatto, and Green. The film stars Mahershala Ali in the titular role. Ali reprises his role as Eric Brooks/Blade from the previous Blade films. The cast also includes Delroy Lindo as Deacon Frost, John West Jr. as DEE, Aaron Pierre, Mia Goth, and Milan Ray. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
