Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Story Trailer is now playing in movie theaters ahead of current films, signaling the global launch of PS5’s Spider-Man 2 marketing campaign. Watch the leaked trailer below.
IGN recently shared an unboxing video of the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle for the PlayStation 5. The bundle includes a special PlayStation 5 console, a unique DualSense Wireless Controller, necessary cables, the game Astro’s Playroom already installed, and a digital copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. If you pre-order, you’ll get special in-game items like suits and gadgets. The DualSense controller makes the game more immersive with its vibrations and adaptive triggers. Plus, the PlayStation 5’s fast load times and impressive visuals make exploring Marvel’s New York a real treat.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the third game in the series. It’s a sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018) and continues the story from its DLC expansion “The City That Never Sleeps” and the standalone spin-off “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales” (2020). Developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
According to Insomniac Games, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will explore different locations within New York City besides outer Manhattan, such as Queens. Both Peter Parker and Miles Morales are playable as Spider-Man, with a different set of abilities: Peter Parker now has the Venom suit that gives him abilities that greatly improve his combat prowess and ability to defeat multiple goons at once, while Miles Morales has his unique abilities such as Camouflage invisibility and his venom blast. Also, the bar-based Focus system returns from the first game, meaning Miles’ Bio Electric from his spin-off game is integrated into the L1-based Power Gauge system alongside Peter’s own Power Gauge system.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be released for PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023. GameStop recently displayed promo cases for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. You can pre-order the Limited Edition Console Bundle on PlayStation Direct.
