Note: This post contains spoilers for The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps had its latest test screening in Los Angeles, and it is confirmed that the film has a runtime of 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Following the test screening, we got the post-credits details for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, featuring a connection to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.

According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello on X, the Fantastic Four: First Steps post-credits scene features Vanessa Kirby‘s Sue Storm reading to her son, Franklin Richards. Suddenly, she gets up, and when she returns, she sees Robert Downey‘s Doctor Doom holding his mask and sitting next to Franklin. While we don’t see his face—only his outfit and mask are shown.
The test screening reports are mixed at the moment. A viewer rated the movie 7/10. He said that the entire film focuses on the Fantastic Four dealing with the inevitability of their extinction. Pedro Pascal‘s Reed Richards’ powers were disappointing and weak, while The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) was also underwhelming. He has a few scenes where he’s sad about being an ugly rock monster, but nothing too deep — he’s just kind of there. As for Sue (Kirby) and Johnny (Joseph Quinn): “Those two were the best of the four.”

Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic (Pascal), Sue Storm / Invisible Woman (Kirby), Johnny Storm / Human Torch (Quinn), and Ben Grimm / The Thing (Bachrach) as they face their most daunting challenge yet.
Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet — and everyone on it — weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.
The film also stars Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles. Directed by Matt Shakman, produced by Kevin Feige, and executive produced by Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters and IMAX on July 25, 2025.
